Not usually! : Gabapentine is an effective treatment for neuropathy and other nerve injury. Swelling in the feet is a possible side effect but pain and swelling in a specific area would more likely be something else. It could be an injury, arthritis, hammertoes or stress fracture. You need an evaluation by a medical professional. .
