Not in itself: Diabetes can affect every system in the body in different ways. You may have another issue like a heart problem from the diabetes or from inactivity. Get up and exercise. Develop stamina. Consult with your primary care physician.

See below: I've never seen diabetes cause this unless it's DKA and you're breathing very fast to try and blow off CO2
