See MD, also DDS: See your doctor who can tell you whether or not you have diabetes and what's causing your breath to smell like that. More likely a kidney issue than diabetes, but an exam and tests will determine that. It sounds like a complete and thorough dental and medical checkup are in order right anyway.

Possible: It's possible but this is not a reliable way to diagnose diabetes. I recommend seeing your doctor and get a blood test done to figure this out the correct way.
