Loose stools.: There may be many causes of loose stools. If you feel uncomfortable with his answer, ask to see a gastroenterologist, if he come up with no answer.

Continue evaluation: If it's your gb, you'll need an abdominal ultrasound and/or hepato-biliary scan for confirmation. If blood tests and scans are normal, consider medications or dietary changes as possible culprits. If he took antibiotics before this started, he may simply need to readjust bowel bacteria by taking a probiotic (like culturelle) twice daily and eating yogurt twice daily. See your doctor, and good luck.
