Yes: Many times flash lights, or photopsias, can occur from the way light hits the implant; however, they can also be a sign of a retinal problem. Call your surgeon today.

Yes: The symptom of flashing lights, especially if combined with the sudden onset of floaters or the sensation of a curtain or veil across your vision, can be a sign of a retinal problem. You need to have your eyes checked and your pupils dilated by an eye doctor to be sure there is not a problem.
