Keep them clean: In order to keep your wisdom teeth out of trouble. Brush them very well, and most of us do need to swing our lower jaws right and left to be able to reach the outer surfaces of the top wisdom teeth. Always floss behind the wisdom teeth and pray to the dental gods to save you from trouble.

Extra care: If the wisdom teeth are in your mouth and are not decayed you need to ramp up your level of oral hygiene. They will often come in a difficult to reach position where access with a toothbrush or floss is difficult. Leaving plaque deposits around these teeth risk tooth decay and/or gum infection. Sometimes a flap of gum tissue overlays the wisdom tooth. You should attempt cleaning under the flap.
