I went to ob yesterday and he said my cervix is inflamed thought was bacterial cervicitis how did this happen?

Discuss with OB: The manner in which you acquired this cervical infection can only be determined by an extensive history, the particular type of infection that is present and a variety of other means, none of which can be done on the internet. See the doctor who made the diagnosis and discuss this at length.

Several options: It could just be an imbalance of the bacteria normally found in the vagina. However, it may also be an std like chlamydia or gonorrhea. Did your doc do cultures?
