OB: It doesn't sound like a major medical illness. Try tylenol (acetaminophen) at night, is she sleeping well outside of the pain. Does she have headaches or clinch her teeth at night? It may be a matter of managing the discomfort but that type of pain may take time to improve; it's likely muscular.
