About two weeks ago i had an abcess above my left ear. dr prescribed some antibiotics. im off them now but still looks red. is it gone how do i know?

Hard to tell...: The skin discoloration of an infection can take a while to go away, but it shouldn't be bright red in color. Sometimes abscesses require a prolonged course (>14 days) of treatment, or sometimes they need to be incised and drained. If it is painful when you press on it, is draining, starts swelling more, or you have new fever, you definitely need to see someone again.
