Pain & neuro consult: It is important to note which rib was removed, what level and for what reason. Did the pain occur after this procedure? Were you under general anesthesia for this procedure? You need to have testing such as emg-ncv of your upper extremities to evaluate for possible nerve damage. If there are signs and symptoms compatible with neuropathic pain, there are medications and nerve blocks that can help.
