Loss of vision: Optic neuritis affects the optic nerve and can result in loss of visual acuity but even complete loss of vision in some cases, and darkness or whiting out varies from pt to pt. Best approach, intravenous steroids. Get mri, to evaluate causation, such as multiple sclerosis. See both eye doc and neurologist.
