NO: No we can't control when we enter puberty. Most girls start puberty about age ten, but it is normal at age eight. People who are malnourished or who exercise intensely may enter puberty later. A healthy average person has no control over when they enter puberty. If it looks like the girl child is not going to grow above 5 feet (growth charts) the pediatrician will refer to an endocrinologist.
