Time: The best way to prevent a scar is to not get a cut! having said that, the face is very vascular and heals very well with little intervention. Once a scar is healing then shea butter, cocoa butter, vit e or some cream like that is helpful to rub on twice a day. The gentle rubbing helps break down scar tissue and enable reforming while helping the scar minimize. Time is a great healer!

Nothing: Child usually will outgrow the scar since he in still a toddler and his lips will strech the scar.
