Cartilage softening?: At the end of pregnancy, the cartilage that holds your pelvis together begins to soften - probably to allow the the pelvic bones to "open" a little more for delivery. Some women say they feel as though their bones aren't quite "knit together" towards the end of pregnancy. While you may feel less secure, this phenomenon may help your delivery by allowing more room in the birth canal. Good luck.
