A member asked:

Do hydrocephalus mean you are dying?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Hydrocephalus means there is something preventing the fluid in your brain from draining correctly. Thus, it backs up and makes the areas that "hold" the fluid dilate. While this causes many problems, and if left untreated it can progress to serious issues, it does not mean you will die. It can be treated, and you should see a neurosurgeon.
