They should: If you are not sure if your condition requires an emergency room visit you should be able to check at most urgent care centers. It is certainly a good idea to be seen by a physician if you have a concern. We routinely send our patients with a note from our urgent care when we refer to the er and we will also call the er. This gives as much information to the er caregivers as possible.
