It depends: It depends on the type of steroid that was used on you. We do not use cortisone anymore for steroid injection as its effect is generally short (4 hours.). More common steroid preparations are methprednisolone or triamcinolone. It also depends if you had a series of injections or just one. Depending on how severe your radiculopathya, the effect could be less than a month to about 6 months or more.
