Maybe: There may be injections to help with neck pain, with or without cortisone. The 2 common injections are epidural steroid injections and facet joint injections. Emg is a great test to see if there is nerve damage but usually not needed unless there is pain, tingling/numbness or weakness in the arm too. Mri will help show potential causes of your symptoms before considering injections.
