CN 7 Paresis: Idiopathic cn vii paresis (bell's palsy) refers to dysfunction of the seventh cranial nerve which causes weakness or paralysis of the muscles of your face. The causes are many and here a few of the more common causes: viral- ebv, cmv, hsv lyme's disease multiple sclerosis however, most times the cause is unknown or the viral cause is not proven because of a lack of acute and convalescent titers.
