Localized infection: Most likely a localized infection without systemic inflammation (fever). Less likely is a primary cause of lymphadenopathy (lad) -- eg lymphoma causing an earache. Should be evaluated by a primary physicians and/or and ENT physician possibly.

Mild sore throat, sharp shooting pain in ear and swollen lymph node. All on the right side. No noted fever. Dull throbbing headache at times.
