Is it generally good for a teenager to be a vegetarian?

This depends: It depends on the type of vegetarianism the person practices. It is important for a growing teenager to get enough protein as well as vitamins and minerals. If all animal products are avoided, than making sure to eat enough protein is advisable to help provide the proper nutrients for body growth. I would advise seeing a dietitian if at all possible to discuss this further.
