Eat from all groups: Eat from all the allowable food groups, such as fruits, vegetables, beans, grains, nuts etc. Make sure they are getting adequate b12, calcium, iron and zinc, vitamin A and D. These may be low in a vegetarian diet. Nuts are high in protein and healthy fat and can help increase calories in a skinny vegetarian
