Is it normal for a teenager to have arthritis?

No: It is actually not "normal" for anyone to have arthritis. I would be concerned a teenage with arthritis has rheumatoid arthritis. You need to see your physician. Also see a chinese medicine practitioner as both traditional and nontraditional will have a lot to offer. You will need an altered diet as well..No refined flour or sugar, more fresh fruits and veggies. A detailed visit will help.

Yes: Joint pains can occur at an early age as part of any disease such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, ankylosing spondylitis, infectious arthritis, posttraumatic or bursitis.
