Yes: Arthritis as a teenager is very uncommon however it does occasionally occur. Inflammatory arthritis (like juvenile rheumatoid arthritis) is usually due to an autoimmune type process. There is also infectious arthritis (for example as the result of lyme disease, or after a bacterial or viral infection).
