See neurologist...: If it is possible for you, seeing a neurologist who specializes in migraine headaches could hopefully really help you out. Given that this is a long standing issue for you, it most likely isn't going to go away soon on its own.

Take preventives: Migraines start in the teens and 20s, and may continue for 20-30 years. If yours are not menstrual migraines, consider taking daily preventive meds like inderal, amitriptylene, topamax, or others. The triptans are expensive (inderal, relpax, (eletriptan) maxalt, frova) but effective. You may actually need to be on double or triple therapy to manage headaches that are affecting your quality of life.
