Yes: You are hearing the disc slip off the joint, which is a form of TMJ disorder. You should avoid opening wide and cut your apples up for a few weeks to allow the muscles to relax and the joint to settle in proper position. A TMJ splint should be made for you to help avoid the disc slipping as well.

Jawbone: Opening your mouth wide for a number of reasons can noise in your tmj. It is located just forward to your ear, so it may sound louder to you. It can be loud for others to hear. It is one symptom of an imbalance in your joint and muscles of your jaw. This may become more serious. Your dentist can treat or monitor this disorder.

Could be, but...: Certainly could be but with no pain it could lso be structural from opening to wide. Try to limit opening that wide. Also discuss this with your dentist.

Popping and TMJ: Popping with the tmj/tmj's usually signifies a displaced articular disk (forward.) not sure if you also have locking of the jaw- closed lock meaning limited opening; open lock- can't close.) need to see your dentist or TMJ specialist as your problem may become worse.

Yes: Yes, suggests a TMJ disorder. If you don't have pain, or chewing problems, then truly is "slight" and requires no treatment.
