This is just: Slightly elevated. Upper limit 10.5 in most labs. First question is what type of white blood cell is elevated -- neuts or lymphs?

White count: Wbc of 11.5 (11, 500) is mildly elevated as range is usually 4-11 (4, 000-11, 000). Have it check again in 3-4 weeks!

The lab my Dr office uses is Quest Diagnostic. Their WBC normal range is 3.8 to 10.8. My WBC was 4.5. It seems that other labs consider below 4.0 or 4.5 low. Why do other labs use different standards for low WBC then Quest? Which is correct? Thanks.
