None Probably Best..: Currently, 2 agents with evidence of significant reduction/stopping hair loss: minoxidil; long used as potent oral anti-hypertensive; complications: marked water retention & hair growth. Used daily on the skin (not ingested) in areas of hair loss, has a track record of reducing hair loss, without edema or BP effect.. In men, Finasteride may help. These & hair transplant only effective options.

Testosterone: In men with high levels of total and free testosterone this pattern of hair loss is common. Have your family md measure total and free testosterone and Estradiol in your blood, and then we can look at a biochemical reason for hair loss which may be treatable. Cj glueck md.
