Cures are available: High uric acid can be caused by numerous things; eg, obesity, poor kidney function, heredity. However, it is only treated if it is accompanied by gout. Only about 15% of people with high uric acid levels have gout. Treating high uric acid without gout is not recommended. If you have high uric acid and gout, many cures are available including allopurinol, uloric, probenecid and krystexxa, (pegloticase) diet.
