No difference: There is no such thing as "best" or "worst" medication, only those that work and don't work, based on the patient's individual circumstances and genetics. For example, Clindamycin is considered safe for use in patients with a Amoxicillin allergy.

It depends: Without a culture and sensitivity test ,generally amoxicillin is drug of choice for dental infections provided there is no allergy to it. If ineffective after a couple of days, the spectrum of coverage can be enhanced by adding Flagyl or switching to clindamycin.

Either: Amoxicillin is antibiotic of choice for treating dental infections. Clindamycin prescribed for people who can't take penicillin. Meds on their own will not cure most dental diseases. Treatment must be individualized. Antibiotics must be taken EXACTLY as prescribed until the entire course has been completed. Don't take any "left-over" drugs on your own. See your Dentist for appropriate treatment.
