Yes: to be a concert pianist, being able to hit a twelfth with no difficulty is big. They are also important for olympic swimmers. They reach farther with each stroke, so have a big advantage. Michael Phelps had unusually long arms for his body height. If he had had shorter arms, you would not recognize his name.
