Clarify: "chemo" and "radiation" are methods of treatment of cancer, usually after it has become relatively advanced. Cancer seldom is symptomatic during the early stages, and the symptoms and signs that it produces at any stage are greatly variable, usually depending on its location and sometimes on the kind of immune response that it triggers in the body. Any cancer not effectively treated is deadly.

Depends: All depends on stage of the cancer and type of cancer. In terminal stages almost all will need some therapy for pain due to metastasis.

Need More Info: Cancer symptoms are unique to the organ of origin and to the organ(s) it may have spread to. In general, many cancers " fly under the radar" and do not cause any symptoms until advanced. That is why we screen for the most common cancers: to find them before symptoms develop, when there is a higher chance for cure.
