Not so much long: Term. But when first using the two medications together, the Nexium (esomeprazole) can affect the metabolism of the Celexa such that the levels will be higher in your blood than if you were not taking Nexium (esomeprazole). This can make you more prone to adverse effects of Celexa. But if you've been using the two together for years without issue, I wouldn't worry too much, in regards to drug interactions.

There is, see below: There is a drug interaction. You’ve been taking these two meds together for years, so there are no worries in the short term, but the picture could change if your labs, kidneys, or liver function change. Make sure your PCP and Celexa prescriber (if different) are aware of the interaction and are actively monitoring. Ask if it’s worth changing meds, but don’t stop taking Celexa until discussing.
