Can't oblige you: Celexa (citalopram) & Baclofen used together can cause excessive or prolonged central nervous system and respiratory depression. Also, recently reports on higher doses of Celexa (citalopram) noted possible irregular heart rhythms. If you are taking any other meds, there may other significant interactions. Sorry we can't provide you with the info you'd like to hear.

Monitor: Since both the medicines have effects on the brain, caution needs to be applied for breathing and central nervous system depressant effect. Becomes an issue especially in elderly and debilitated.

How many hours should my newborn be sleeping?

Dr. Scott Katz

18-20 hours: Most newborns are only awake for feedings, diaper changes and, on average, a few hours of crying time per day. Remember that this is an average. Some babies, just like some adults, need less sleep. If your baby is happy, healthy and growing properly, she is probably getting enough sleep. Also, most newborns are more awake at night, so try to nap when she is napping.

How many doses of meningococcal vaccine are needed

Dr. Marcus Degraw

1 or 2: Well, there is a small discrepancy right now. The cdc, the people who recommend how to get shots, recommends that kids 11-18 need two doses. One at 11yo and one aft 16yo. But, the fda has not approved either brand, Menveo or menactra, to be given that way. Both are only approved as a one dose vaccine. This will clear up soon and every kid will get 2 doses, and you can do that now off fda label.

There are so many varieties of kidney disease, how can I tell which I most likely have?

Work With Your Doc: Your question is right on target, but because there are so many kinds, and the diagnosis is made based on a careful medical history and certain lab tests, it's almost impossible to self-diagnose kidney problems. Even the basic test to diagnose it is a blood test that a doctor must order. Give your doc a call if you think you might have an issue.
