Meds: Clindamycin is newer strong antibiotic which can be used for this infection. Penicillin family can also be used. All antibiotics can cause some intestinal problems. Discuss your concerns with your dentist.

It's should be okay: Most patients that take Clindamycin usually do not develop any symptoms although GI issues can occur. If you are uncomfortable call the doctor to see if they'll give you another antibiotic.

Talk to your dentist: It is not appropriate to advise you to change antibiotics here. Share your concerns with the dentist that prescribed. Btw, unless you have had c diff previously, the chance of it occurring are slim.
