Concussion: The generally accepted definition of a concussion is a mild injury to the brain usually by a traumation event. Usually one would remember a blow to the head, but not always. For example persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs can fall and hit their head, but have no memory of the incident when they are sober.

Concussion: Concussion is by definition a significant blow to the brain so without a blow you cannot have a concussion.
