The elbow likely impacted your head quite a bit and caused your brain to move a bit inside your skull just like when you hit something hard and the thing next to hit moves (think of billard balls). The momentary dazed feeling and the momentary nausea were the symptoms of that movement. With a head injury, it's common to have a headache and nausea. You may be dizzy or disoriented right afterward.

The classic definition of a concussion is a closed head injury causing alteration of consciousness, loss of memory, or a combination of both. Your description is of head trauma, not concussion. Not clear from your post as to whether you have ongoing issues. Please contact us if you have further problems.
