Chest??: If truly wheezing, there is chest involvement. The doctor needs to see her for this.Asap if she is having difficulty breathing. This is probably a viral illness that will pass in several days.

M.D. visit: If you son is drooling more than usual, it is important to be seen by your doctor. If there is swelling in the airway this can lead to excessive drooling. He should be able to eat and drink without difficulty, and to breathe comfortably without using his chest or neck muscles. If he has a fever, the source of the fever may include a specific infection of the ear, throat or lungs.
