Possible virus: Wheezing, cough and runny nose can be symptoms of a virus. Frequently there is fever as well. If these symptoms have occurred before or become recurrent, this could be early signs of asthma, especially if the child has eczema, food allergies, hayfever or parents with asthma. Wheezing suggests significant lung involvement and warrants a trip to the doctor.
