Need medical exam: If these pains persist or worsen in intensity you should have a medical exam. There are many possible causes for what you describe and some could be transient but others could be more serious. If the pain worsens and you develop fever or blood in the stool then you need a medical consultation. As a precaution until this condition subsides it would be prudent to avoid alcohol or laxatives.
