A member asked:

Where could my mirena (levonorgestrel) iud be? strings are gone, does not show on ultrasound, but i know i haven't seen it come out. help, please!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

What did yoru gyn sa: Say? They should be able to see it on a pelvic ultrasound and if u can't see the string either it is still in the uterus, or it perforated thru the uterus but usually u would ahve symptoms or the more likely thing since they cannot see it at all is that u expelled the iud, please discuss with your gyn who put it in.
