Maybe: Teething is a natural process and should not be medicated. When baby does start teething it is best to give teething chew toys. We don't reccommend orajel as there are serious complications that can arise as a side effect to that medication. If you do use tylenol (acetaminophen) follow the dosing guide and only if u r 100% sure nothing else is wrong.

For a Four month: Old, if you are sure the child is teething, you can try chilled teething rings, a cold wash cloth or even rubbing pure vanilla extract on the gums. Tylenol (acetaminophen) liquid can be administered in appropriate dosage - please consult with the child's pediatrician.

Yes: If you have tried other ways to soothe your baby and it has not helped, it is fine to try a few doses of tylenol (acetaminophen). Please ask your pediatrician about the correct dose for your baby, because it should be figured out individually based on your baby's weight, not by age. Also, know what concentration of medicine you have, so doctor can guide you on correct amount for each dose.
