My 13 month old is teething and in a lot of pain. can i give him baby tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil for longer than a week? i only give him a dose every 12 hours

Probably OK: I don't think dosing at that level would cause any problems.However, you might consider a visit with babies doc to see if something else is going on. I have trouble placing any faith in teeth as a long term pain issue.

I wouldn't : While teething can be uncomfortable it shouldn't cause pain for that long. It may not be a bad idea to have him seen. You can also try the liquid filled teethers you can buy in walmart, target etc.
