No long-term effects: Hormones released by Implanon are gone from your system in about a week, and your fertility should be back to normal in 2-6 weeks after removal of implanon. As far as we know implanon, like birth control pills, does no long tern damage to your fertility. If trying to conceive again at 20 with proven fertility it should happen within 6-12 months of trying. Best wishes.
