A member asked:

What would cause cea blood marker to rise from 5 to 286 in 4 months?

Cancer: This is a pretty impressive rise in CEA level. Especially if you have a history of gastrointestinal cancer, this rise in CEA is recurrent cancer until proven otherwise. Visit your oncologist or surgeon for a complete evaluation.
