Can our 4 and 5 year olds take bilharzia pills?

Yes: The use of praziqantel (biltricide) at a dose of 20mg/kg in two or three doses for one day of treatment is recomended by tht CDC and who to treat shistosomiasis. Safety data under 4yo is not available but safety 4 & above is comforting. It is a bitter med so taking it without chewing is recomended. See www.Cdc.Gov/paracites/shistosomiasis.
