Hip stiffness: Consider arthritis, effusion, synovitis, tendonitis, sprain, overuse, muscle tightness/contracture as the prime suspects.

Inflammatory Diet: You are young and yet have hip stiffness. Eating refined carbs and sugar create inflammation. Going on a low carb, anti-inflammatory diet with lots of fresh vegetables and eliminating sugar and carbs should relieve your pain. Fish oil is also an excellent anti-inflammatory. Take 2, 000-3, 000 mg per day if you have no other health problems. Also see a physician to rule out arthritis.
