Hard to say: There are many possibilities and you certainly should be checked. Some patients with a viral illness can get pain and swelling in the joints associated with it, but that would not really explain numbness which is usually a neurologic complaint and can be associated with a stroke or a pinched nerve, or a host of neurologic disorders. A detailed history, exam and appropriate studies can help.

You need an eval: Some of the reasons for your symptoms are things that need immediate care depending how long you have been suffering with those symptoms. Please see a medical doctor right away. If your right sided symptoms are signs of a stroke, than you need to be in a hospital now. Depends on how long you have been dealing with this, so if just today, go to the hospital immediately.
