CBT-I can help: I cannot fully answer this question in 400 or fewer characters. What i can say is that the best long term improvements in sleep quality and later sleep quantity, with the use of fewer or no medications, is seen following cognitive and behavioral therapy for insomnia (cbt-i). This should be done with an experienced sleep psychologist and not simply any mental health provider.
