WBC: White blood cell increase in a complete blood count, means there is an increased number of the total group of white blood cells. They are comprised of neutrophils, monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils and eosinophils, with sometimes having blasts present in abnormal states. Elevations can develop for a variety of reasons, with infections being the most common.
